MaturityModel.io
About MaturityModel.io
A free, open-source library of 74 original maturity model self-assessments, so any team can see where it stands and what to do next.
Why this exists
Every organisation wants to improve, but improvement starts with an honest view of where you are. Traditional maturity frameworks are often long, expensive, written for specialists, or locked behind consultancy engagements. Many small and mid-sized organisations, public bodies and nonprofits never get to use them at all.
MaturityModel.io takes a different approach: short, original models written in plain language, free for anyone to use, with results you can act on straight away.
What you get
- 74 maturity models across 9 domains, from leadership and strategy to cloud security, accessibility and M&A integration.
- Three clear maturity levels per model, named in language that fits the field.
- Concrete answer options that describe what people actually do, so it's easier to answer honestly.
- Instant results: area scores, a radar chart and a prioritised list of next actions.
- PDF and CSV export, plus a shareable results link.
Privacy by design
There are no accounts and no database of results. Your answers are stored only in the page URL, so you decide who sees them. We use Google Analytics for anonymous visit statistics. See the privacy policy for details.
Open source
The whole site, including every model's questions and answer options, is published under the MIT licence on GitHub. You're welcome to use the models in your organisation, adapt them for clients, translate them or build your own tools on top of them. Attribution is appreciated but not required.
How the models are made
Every model follows the same design principles: original content, three field-specific levels, observable answer options, and simple equal-weight scoring. Read the full methodology, or start with our guide: What is a maturity model?
